Life's A Hoot Charity Quilt, An Apology in Advance, Patchwork Squared, etc. { Bundles of Joy Revisited }

I spent most of this weekend trying to play catch up on several projects. I'm sure you've heard me say it before, but I don't know when to say no. I get emails every other day from people asking me to contribute to this or that and I have a hard time refusing. If you have a blog and your name gets out there that kind of stuff happens. I'm sure you can relate. It's that attitude that's gotten me involved in several bees, swaps, various publications and upcoming blog hops. I just feel bad saying no. Nuff said!

Consider this an apology in advance for any tardiness on my behalf. There's only so many hours in a day, and when you work full time there's even less. So, sorry guys, I may be late on bee blocks, etc. a time or two. Especially now when we're heading into the Holiday season.

Sunday afternoon I was able to get all the blocks pieced, trimmed and laid out for the second quilt I'm donating for a charity auction planned by several flickr friends. You may recognize the pattern from my Bundles of Joy Quilt tutorial. In addition to my original quilt which was clearly in little girl colors, I thought a boy version was needed to balance my contribution out.

I've had a charm pack of Life's A Hoot sitting in my stash since the line first came out. I paired it with some Kona Orange I had on hand and this is what it looks like now.

I promise I'll tell you more about the auction in a week or two. I if I can get the top pieced this evening I'll be able to finish it tomorrow in time for the Wednesday deadline coming up.

There's been lots of developments on the Patchwork Squared front with Charlie of Qubee Quilts. The brainstorming sessions have been very productive lately. We have several quilts on the drawing board and lots of fabric requests circulating. Still waiting for our big break though. Look for some announcements being made on the P2 blog in the next few weeks!

Our Fat Quarter Shop Fridays feature has proven to be very popular and I've scheduled posts throughout the rest of this year. Over the next few weeks you'll see interviews and giveaways from popular designers including Kate Spain, The Adornit Girls, Melly and Me, Sweetwater, and Freshcut Quilts; just to name a few!

Please feel free to make any suggestions for upcoming features. I'd love to hear from you.

Finally, please take the time to visit all my sponsors. They help keep this site going and provide you guys with awesome giveaways, some of which are going to be announced soon.

You work full time, for real? How on earth do you find time to post at all?! I can hardly keep up with a once-a-month post!
