{ Sunday Stash #12 } Patty Young's Sanctuary

Hey everyone! I know it's almost 10 PM here on the east coast, but I wanted to drop in and share with you what new fabrics arrived this week. Better late then never! Today was my last day off after the Thanksgiving break and I vowed to spend it away from the internet and my phone because my wife wasn't feeling very well. I watched the kids while she got some rest. The Mr. Mom routine.

I may have done a little re-tweeting for a few minutes while getting the kids lunch ready, but caught myself and put my phone in the bedroom on my night stand (out of sight, out of mind). Isn't it funny how you think something is not that much of a distraction and you realize after you try and stop for a day or two how much it consumes your life? I know, scary right!

Well, the kids are in bed sleeping and I wanted to show you some of Patty Young's new line she calls Sanctuary. Aren't the colors great?! I'm curious to know what her inspiration is behind this line. I'm really getting a fire and ice vibe. Yin and Yang with an little new age, modern spin.

Patty even had fun with the names of the fabrics: Dahlia Lama, Orchid Feng Shui, Zen Garden, Seaweed Wrap, etc.

I had the chance to meet Patty and her husband Jon in Houston. Her booth was full of pattern samples in Sanctuary fabrics. If I recall correctly, there were several Sanctuary knit fabrics. I think some of the dresses were made using knits, but don't quote me on that! :)

I had never seen her knit fabrics in person before and wasn't sure what to expect. They are really soft and reminded me of sweatshirt material.

Sanctuary was released in two colorways, Cool and Warm. I got mine from Hawthorne Threads.

Have a good one!
