Happy Trendy Tuesday everyone!
Welcome to another edition of Trendy Tuesday where I'll be highlighting some of my favorite trends in the current fabric market. From colors to shapes and all other possibilities, we'll be looking at similarities among fabric collections hitting store shelves.
Call it kidney shaped or Persian pickles, twisted tear drop or Welsh Pears, this design of Indian and Iranian origin takes its name from a town in central Scotland. Paisley prints are surfacing all over the place in contemporary design it seems. This WAY groovy and almost psychedelic symbol caught on in 1967 during the summer of love and reached its pinnacle in 1968 thanks to the Beatles and a certain pilgrimage to India.
Groovy, baby!
Here are some of my favorite examples of fabric from today's featured trend:

I love the paisley in 'wiscasset' by minick&simpson and in 'simplicity' by 3sisters. Adorable!

I love the paisley's in Veranda fat quarters that I received last night from you!! Thank you so much!!
Paisley reminds me of the Indian cotton print bedspreads of my college days. Jo-Anns has some wide-backings in paisley that are pretty and seem to wash/quilt OK.
Of course, the Veranda paisley is lovely. Thank you for the prize! I received it yesterday.
love all paisleys! my favorite print; it adds flavor and accents in any and all fabric combinations. i try adding a paisley in eash of my projects.
I love the paisley print in the new Sophie line from mode. The pink is my favorite.
I'm obsessed with Kaffe Fassett's Paisley Jungle from Kaffe Fassett, especially in tangerine and lime. Glorious Color carries the full lineup.
I ADORE paisleys!!! I'd say 80% of my quilts have a paisley in them. I am from India, so maybe that's where I get it from? We call it mango design.
Pat Bravo had a couple nice ones about a year ago. I can't remember which collection.
Love me some paisley!!
This is one of my kooky favorites:

And I love the really busy and tight patterns of paisley like you'd find on an old lady's blouse. Like this:
