A Block For Amy & Sarah

Back in August, fellow quilting blogger and friend Sarah Fielke put a call out for anyone who would like to participate in a special project for her friend, Amy of Mrs. Schmenkman Quilts. Amy's husband Dan, a well known Rolling Stone writer and techno Journalist, passed away on August 29th.


I was compelled to make a block for Amy's quilt after reading a post she wrote the day Dan died.


Sarah's idea was to have everyone make baseline themed blocks because of Dan's influence and participation in the music industry. The block is on its way to Quilt Market with John who offered to pass it along to Sarah. Thanks John.
