The One With The Colored Pencil Roll

A friend of mine recently professed his desire to start sketching as a creative outlet.  I've had this colored pencil roll pattern by Kathy of Pink Chalk Fabrics for quite some time and quickly got to work in RWQ Studio one weekend a few months ago.

A quick trip to the local arts and crafts shop to get some good quality colored pencils and I was in good shape.  Taking the pencils to my stash, I selected fabrics and started sewing.

I'll let the pictures do all the talking...

What a fun project to use up an afternoon.  The pattern is really easy to follow and there are so many neat ways to customize the look depending on the materials you select.

Happy quilting! It's so good to be back!
